Mason Blacher served as Director of Major Gifts at Stanford University for seven years, where he directed the full range of individual giving programs for Stanford Business School. He is especially regarded for his skill in the solicitation of large gifts (six- and seven- figures, even from first-time donors), including the identification, enlistment, training and motivation of fundraising leadership. 

Mr. Blacher previously served Dominican College as Assistant Dean and later as Director of Public Information. He has a B.A. in classics and an M.A. in higher education administration from Stanford University. 

Mr. Blacher founded his consulting practice in 1981 while still associated with Stanford University. The firm is very active in California and the Pacific Northwest, although clients include nonprofit organizations across the United States and abroad.
